Flag Day - Shoprite November 2007

PAWS Flag Day coincided with Shoprite's Birthday, hence the presence of these characters at the PAWS Stand.

Each person who donated to PAWS was asked a question about animal welfare. If they gave the right answer, they could choose one of the prizes offered by Pedigree.

This was a way for PAWS to combine Fundraising & Education.

Flag Day - Caudan November 2007

We had a lovely stand at Le Caudan to promote animal welfare through the PAWS Educational films. We also had demonstrations of Dog Training by Akbar & Denis Ambroise in different Shopping Centres.

Flag Day - Riche Terre November 2007

Jumbo Riche Terre Stand also attracted animal lovers. Some sat to watch one of the 13-minute PAWS films.

Flag Day - London Way, Black River November 2007

Balloons were offered to all the kids who put money in a tin, or bought PAWS Merchandise. Face painting also attracted many kids to the PAWS Stand at London Supermarket.

We cannot pretend to improve Animal Welfare in Mauritius without changing how the population thinks about animals. So, in 2007, while the Sterilisation Team carried on its mission, PAWS Management worked on the creation of fifteen 13-minute films. (14 films sponsored by Sun Resorts + 1 film sponsored by Brindol Productions)

As these films were made possible by Sun Resorts generous donation, PAWS launched the Educational Films Series sponsored by Sun Resorts and the Mobile Vet Care Campaign in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism, at Le Coco Beach, on 4th October 2007. This date was chosen because it was World Animal Day and PAWS wanted to take this opportunity to make the public aware more of Animal Welfare issues.
